The SGM-990 features a 2-position switch to select between directional pickup patterns to focus on your sound source. Choose between "Long" for supercardioid or "Short" for a cardioid pickup pattern, depending on the distance from your subject. Both settings will provide rejection of unwanted sound from the sides and the back. The SGM-990's working range is 20 to 40 feet and it has a frequency response of 150 Hz to 18 kHz. It is built with a coiled cable which has a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini-jack connector, and uses one alkaline AAA battery for power. A windscreen and shoe mount are included.
