*Based on CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) standards. Testing performed using EOS R and R5 cameras.
Super-telephoto, 600mm Lens with Wide f/4 Maximum Aperture, Exclusively for EOS R-series cameras.
With the same optical design as the EF600mm f/4L IS III USM lens, this RF version — dedicated to EOS R-series cameras — brings the same outstanding optical performance to the mirrorless EOS R line. The RF600mm F4 L IS USM distinguishes itself by maintaining incredibly high image quality expected from a Canon L-series lens, with outstanding overall image quality, even at maximum aperture. The Canon 600mm f/4 L-series lenses have historically combined great telephoto power with tremendous sharpness, contrast and clarity, and the RF600mm F4 L IS USM continues that tradition.
Optically Identical to EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM lens.
Like the EF600mm f/4L IS III USM lens, introduced in late 2018, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM is highlighted by significant weight reductions, vs. previous-generation Canon 600mm f/4L designs — opening the doors to using this lens for subjects and situations where telephoto power, wide maximum aperture AND portability are vital. The RF600mm F4 L IS USM will be outstanding for wildlife, birds in flight, motorsports, and similar applications where portability and the ability to quickly move the camera and lens are vital.
Minimum Focusing Distance of 13.78 ft. / 4.2 m.
At its minimum focusing distance of approx. 13.78 ft. /4.2m, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM can fill the frame with a subject smaller than a regulation, pro-sized US football.
Optical Image Stabilization with up to 5.5 Stops* of Shake Correction, Including Three IS Operation Modes.
Optical Image Stabilization in the RF600mm F4 L IS USM provides up to 5.5 stops* of shake correction, delivering consistent and sharp results. This helps provide reliable handheld — or monopod-mounted — performance and clear image detail in low-light situations or at lower ISOs. This applies when capturing both stills and video for accurate and clear content.
Three IS Operation Modes
There are three Image Stabilization mode settings, for control of shake-correction — each can be applied with the sliding, 3-position switch on the lens barrel. Mode 1 provides general shake-correction for stills and video, with the continuous stabilization correction visible in the electronic viewfinder whenever it’s active. Mode 2 is designed for stabilization when deliberately panning, providing correction for lens/camera movement that’s perpendicular to the photographer’s intentional panning movement. And Mode 3 provides immediate shake correction, but only when the shutter is actually released — so the effect of stabilization is not visible in the viewfinder, between shots.
Super Spectra Coating (SSC) and Air Sphere Coating (ASC) Helps Minimize Ghosting and Flare.
The RF600mm F4 L IS USM lens features Canon's Super Spectra Coating (SSC) that helps maintain overall image quality and color fidelity, as well as Air Sphere Coating (ASC), which significantly helps to reduce the occurrence of lens flare and ghosting regardless of focal length or the angle of light. This helps provide clean results with minimal flare and loss of contrast, especially in heavily back-lit situations.
Compatible with Canon RF 1.4x and 2x Extenders.
To help get you even closer to the subject, attach the compatible Extender RF1.4x or Extender RF2x to the RF600mm F4 L IS USM and get the equivalent of 840mm at f/5.6 focal length coverage with the Extender RF1.4x, or 1200mm at f/8 using the Extender RF2x. This added flexibility and versatility helps make the RF600mm F4 L IS USM an amazing option for wildlife photography and more. Canon RF tele extenders transform the lens into an incredibly powerful telephoto combination, with relatively modest additional weight, size and cost.
Customizable Electronic Focus Ring, with Manual Focus Capability during SERVO AF.
Featuring a customizable electronic manual focus ring on the lens barrel, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM allows you to select from three different speed levels to adjust manual focus to your desired preference. Adjusted with a 3-position, Manual Focus Speed switch on the lens barrel, Mode 1 provides the “fastest” setting — minimal rotation of the manual focus ring results in significant shifts in actual focus. The Mode 2 and 3 settings add sensitivity, allowing finer focus control as the ring is rotated. The RF600mm F4 L IS USM therefore allows the user to select a preference for quick, rapid manual focus changes, or fine manual focus adjustments. Additionally, manual focus is still possible while autofocus is engaged, letting you fine tune focus adjustments to suit your shooting preferences.
9-blade Circular Aperture for Beautiful Bokeh.
Thanks to its 9-blade, circular aperture, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM is capable of gorgeous, evocative out-of-focus areas and soft backgrounds. Delivering more rounded background blur, the 9-blade circular aperture helps create intimacy and intensity in background and foreground bokeh for both photos and videos.
Two Focus Presets Available — Instantly Return to One or Two Memorized Focus Distances.
Memorize one — or two — different focus distances, and immediately return to either one with a slight turn of the RF600mm F4 L IS USM len’s playback ring, on the lens barrel. A wildlife photographer, for example, can pre-focus on two different spots where he or she expects wildlife to appear, and immediately jump to either memorized position via the playback ring. Full AF or manual focus operation remains available, as well.
Dust- and Water-resistant Design, with Fluorine Coating on Front Element for Easy Cleaning.
Built to L series lens specifications, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM features a highly durable design for excellent performance even in inclement weather conditions. It delivers a dust- and water-resistant construction with seals around the mount, switches, rings and more. To help maintain a clean lens, even after multiple lens changes in sub-optimal conditions, the RF600mm F4 L IS USM has a specially designed fluorine coating on its front and rear surfaces. The coating helps to prevent water, oil and other surface residue like fingerprints from sticking to the lens, which facilitates quick and easy wiping, without the use of solvents.

Overview
The RF600mm F11 IS STM Lensis the first 600mm super-telephoto in the RF lens lineup and is more portable than its EF counter parts in this category because of its design advantage. The 600mm range provides a far reach not only in distance to the subject, but also in terms of who can access it with its affordable price, smaller super-telephoto footprint, and lighter weight.
With a design that enables you to retract the lens barrel when not shooting, the lens is even more compact so it can more easily be stored or carried in a bag with additional lenses and accessories. When you’re ready to shoot, just unlock to extend the lens barrel, lock it in place for stability and capture your shots, then unlock, retract, and store again to easily move to your next destination.
The use of gapless dual-layered diffractive optical elements helps reduce chromatic aberrations so your images are clear and detailed for high-quality results all around. And because one DO lens has the optical characteristics of multiple lenses, this contributes to the lightweight of the lens itself, as well.
Impressive results are always the goal and with the RF600mm lens and its use of diffractive optic elements, chromatic aberration can be significantly reduced to achieve clear images with minimal color fringing, even at a fixed aperture of F11. This means detailed results of landscapes and more, even from a distance.
Steady and clear images aren’t always the easiest to come by, especially when shooting with a super-telephoto lens, but with the powerful image stabilization function in the RF600mm, you can feel far more confident it won’t be an issue. Whether shooting handheld or with a monopod, the built-in IS with up to 5 stops* of shake correction helps to significantly reduce camera shake to stabilize the image and get you the results you want and need.
The use of a lead screw-type STM focus motor means smooth and quiet autofocus can be achieved whether you’re shooting stills or tracking a subject while shooting video. While it’s nice to be near-silent anyway, it’s especially important in instances where you’re trying to capture the flight of a wild bird or the relaxation of a wild animal. With the STM feature of the RF600mm, you can capture the scene while significantly reducing the chance ofthe subject being disturbed.
Like all RF lenses before it, the RF600mm lens comes with a customizable and easily accessible control ring so you can change settings like shutter speed, aperture and ISO while still looking through the view finder.
A 12 pin connection between your EOS R series camera and the lens means communication at a higher speed with larger amounts of data transfer, enabling incredibly fast Autofocus calculations, impressive image stabilization and even Control Ring adjustments.
If 600mm isn’t far-reaching enough, the RF600mm lens is compatible with both the RF Extender 1.4x and RF Extender 2x to help get you even closer, up to 840mm with the 1.4x or 1200mm using the 2x. This added flexibility and versatility helps make the RF600mm an amazing option for your landscape, wildlife, sports photography and more.

Dust - and Weather-resistant
Feel confident shooting in almost any weather condition, from rain to snow, thanks to dust- and weather-resistant construction in the lens mount, switch panel, lens barrel extension and all rings. Sealing is applied to lens joining sections and switch panels to help prevent water and dust from entering into the lens.
Fluorine Coating
The RF70-200mm F4 L IS USM lens features fluorine coatings on the front and rearmost surfaces to help prevent water and oil from sticking to the lens, making it easy to clean off smudges and fingerprints.
Four UD Elements and Air-Sphere Coating (ASC)
Clear, high-quality images are produced with the help of four low refractive and ultra-low dispersion lenses, providing significant chromatic aberration correction through the entire zoom range. In addition, the RF70-200mm F4 L IS USM lens features our Air Sphere Coating (ASC), which helps to reduce the occurrence of lens flare and ghosting. This helps provide clean results with minimal distractions and aberrations.

Overview
The RF800mm F11 IS STM super-telephoto lens provides a long 800 millimeter focal length and is the first compact and lightweight 800mm super telephoto lens in the RF lineup. This lens is ideal for bird, wildlife, outdoor sports, and aviation photography or, when you just want to bring those subjects in the distance closer to you. The RF800mm F11 IS STM lens features an STM focusing system ideal for fast and quiet focusing when tracking elusive subjects out in nature. Additionally, an optical image stabilization system with up to 4 stops of shake correction* makes it easy to use either hand-held or with a monopod. It will also accept an RF 1.4X or 2.0X teleconverter^ to increase your focal length to a staggering 1120mm or 1600mm respectively.
The RF800mm F11 IS STM Lens is the first 800mm super-telephoto in the RF lens lineup and is more portable than its EF counterparts in this category because of its design advantage. The 800mm range provides a far reach not only in distance to the subject, but also in terms of who can utilize with its affordable price, smaller super-telephoto footprint, and lighter weight.
Impressive results are always the goal and with the RF800mm lens and its use of diffractive optic elements, chromatic aberration can be virtually cancelled out to achieve clear images with minimal to no color fringing, even at a fixed aperture of F11. This means detailed results of landscapes and more, even from a distance.
Steady and clear images aren’t always the easiest to come by, especially when shooting with a super-telephoto lens, but with the powerful image stabilization function in the RF800mm, you can feel far more confident it won’t be an issue. Whether shooting handheld or with a monopod, the built-in IS with up to 4 stops* of shake correction helps to significantly reduce camera shake to stabilize the image and get you the results you want and need.
With the STM feature of the RF800mm, you can capture the scene while significantly reducing the chance of the subject being disturbed.
Like all RF lenses before it, the RF800mm lens comes with a customizable and easily accessible control ring so you can change settings like shutter speed, aperture and ISOwhile still looking through the viewfinder.
A 12 pin connection between your EOS R series camera and the lens means communication at a higher speed with larger amounts of data transfer, enabling incredibly fast Autofocus calculations, impressive image stabilization and even Control Ring adjustments.
If 800mm isn’t far-reaching enough, the RF800mm lens is compatible with both the RF Extender 1.4x and RF Extender 2x to help get you even closer, up to 1120mm with the 1.4x or 1600mm using the 2x. This added flexibility and versatility helps make the RF800mm an amazing option for your landscape, wildlife, sports photography and more.

High Sensitivity / Low Noise
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder's 1.0-inch sensor allows for larger photosites compared to smaller-sized sensors, resulting in improved images with less noise in low-light situations. The larger sensor also exhibits a shallower depth of field at large apertures, providing greater depth of field control and creative options. The camcorder's new DIGIC DV 6 imaging engine further enhances the high sensitivity and low noise performance of the camcorder.
15x Optical 4K UHD Zoom Lens with 5-Axis Optical Image Stabilization
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder incorporates a Canon 4K video lens that leverages proprietary Canon optical technologies derived from years of experience in developing Cinema, Broadcast and EF series lenses.
Inspired by the same high level of optical precision used in Canon broadcast and photographic lenses, the VIXIA GX10 camcorder incorporates a Genuine Canon 15x optical zoom lens that maintains 4K UHD quality throughout the entire zoom range, and offers a focal length range of 25.5 to 382.5mm (35mm film equivalent). Users can get up to 30x Advanced Zoom when shooting in Full HD, which utilizes the VIXIA GX10 camcorder's full 4K UHD sensor to extend the zoom range while maintaining image quality.
5-Axis Optical Image Stabilization
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder also incorporates a 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization (IS) system.
The camcorder features three modes of image stabilization: Standard, Dynamic and Powered. In Standard IS mode, the stabilizing angle is made constant independent of the zoom magnification. Dynamic IS mode extends the stabilizing range at the wide end of the focal length, allowing for image stabilization when shooting while walking. Powered IS mode helps facilitate stabilization in the low frequency range at the tele end, and should be used exclusively for fixed-point shooting which does not involve panning.
9-blade Iris
For enhanced versatility and durability, the lens features a 9-blade iris, producing artistic and beautiful out-of-focus areas or "bokeh." The 9 blades allow for attractive circular blurring in out-of-focus regions, while the use of an odd number of blades helps reduce flaring of specular highlights.
ND Filter
A compact and independent internal 3-density ND filter, using a turret (circular) mechanism, allows the user to select from three densities (ND 1/4, ND 1/16 and ND 1/64) or turn the feature off if needed. Density can be adjusted using the dedicated external buttons.
Optional Wide and Tele Accessories
The optional Wide Attachment WA-U58 and the Tele Converter TL-U58 accessories expand the creative capabilities of the VIXIA GX10 camcorder.
The Wide Attachment WA-U58 offers a 0.8x wider angle of view that enables users to capture more of a scene, especially when indoors or in tight spaces, to lend better perspective to your video narrative. The Tele Converter TL-U58 provides extended 1.5x longer telephoto range for the VIXIA GX10 camcorder's fixed lens, allowing distant subjects to be captured with brilliant clarity.
Dual DIGIC DV 6 Image Processors
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder incorporates Canon's dual DIGIC DV 6 Image Processors, which are integral in providing high image quality, advanced performance and convenient operability. This advanced core technology component provides the image-processing power and speed that enables features such as 4K UHD video acquisition, image stabilization, slow and fast motion recording and precise Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder features Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Canon's exclusively developed high-speed, high-precision autofocus technology. Dual Pixel CMOS AF assists not only with standard shooting, but also with 4K UHD 60p, Full HD 120p and other high-frame rate applications that require crisp frame-by-frame accuracy.
Each pixel in the camcorder's CMOS sensor is configured with two photodiodes. Two independent image signals can then be detected at each photosite. By implementing phase-difference AF, smooth focusing is accomplished with much higher speed and accuracy than was possible with previous technologies.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF with Touch Focus
The VIXIA GX10 camcorder's 3.5-inch touch panel LCD enables smooth, intuitive operation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF. Accurate AF technology can be employed when shooting a scene by tapping a finger on the desired area of the scene you want the lens to focus on. Dual Pixel CMOS AF offers continuous AF within a horizontal and vertical range of the screen of approximately 80%. It also provides highly accurate Face Detection AF, which assists during single-operator shooting. Users can also use the touch panel to move the autofocus target manually.
Face Detection AF
The Face Detection AF feature has two modes – Face Priority AF and Face Only AF – that offer users precise flexibility in how they choose their autofocus for a subject or scene.
Dual Pixel Focus Guide
Utilizing information from Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Dual Pixel Focus Guide helps achieve precise focus by displaying focus assist information on the screen. It employs a truly innovative user interface that enables the user to see if they are focused in front of or behind the subject through visual observation, and allows quick and accurate manual focus to be achieved. This helps simplify the focusing process when shooting in 4K UHD, which requires strict focus accuracy.
4K UHD and Full HD Recording to Dual SD Card Slots

The camcorder is capable of recording 4K UHD video at 30p, as well as slow motion recording up to 60fps in Full HD (30 fps in 4K UHD). A 15x optical zoom lens maintains 4K UHD quality throughout the entire zoom range, while the camcorder's Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps facilitate fast and accurate autofocus.
The camcorder also includes an adjustable 3.0-inch touch panel LCD and a built-in 0.24-inch electronic viewfinder to enhance usability and provide shooting flexibility from various angles and perspectives. With these amazing features, impressive quality and convenient portability, the VIXIA HF G60 camcorder takes your video opportunities and results as seriously as you do.
1.0-Inch 4K UHD CMOS Image Sensor
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder features a Canon 1.0-inch 4K UHD CMOS image sensor capable of 4K UHD video capture at 60p and slow motion recording up to 60fps in Full HD (30 fps in 4K UHD), providing a number of creative options for any recording situation.
High Sensitivity/Low Noise
The VIXIA HF G60 camcorder's 1.0-inch sensor allows for improved images with less noise in low-light situations. The larger sensor also exhibits a shallower depth of field at large apertures, providing greater depth of field control and creative options. The camcorder's DiG!C DV 6 imaging engine further enhances the high sensitivity and low noise performance of the camcorder.
Wide DR Gamma (800%) Support
For natural and realistic-looking image capture that faithfully represents the scene at hand, Wide DR Gamma achieves a wide dynamic range of 800% to produce almost seamless tone gradations, resulting in smooth detail, accurate color and virtually no blown-out highlights.
15x Optical 4K UHD Zoom Lens with 5-Axis Optical Image Stabilization
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder incorporates a Canon 4K video lens that leverages proprietary Canon optical technologies derived from years of experience in developing Cinema, Broadcast and EF series lenses.
Inspired by the same high level of optical precision used in Canon broadcast and photographic lenses, the Canon VIXIA HF G60 camcorder incorporates a Genuine Canon 15x optical zoom lens that maintains 4K UHD quality throughout the entire zoom range, and offers a focal length range of 25.5 to 382.5mm (35mm film equivalent).
The optional Wide Attachment WA-U58 and the Tele Converter TL-U58 accessories expand the creative capabilities of the VIXIA HF G60 camcorder.
The Wide Attachment WA-U58 offers a 0.8x wider angle of view that enables users to capture more of a scene, especially when indoors or in tight spaces, to lend better perspective to your video narrative. The Tele Converter TL-U58 provides extended 1.5x longer telephoto range for the VIXIA HF G60 camcorder's fixed lens, allowing distant subjects to be captured with brilliant clarity.
5-Axis Optical Image Stabilization
The VIXIA HF G60 camcorder also incorporates a 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization (IS) system.
DIGIC DV 6 Image Processor
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder incorporates Canon's DIGIC DV 6 Image Processor, which is integral in providing high image quality, advanced performance and convenient operability. This advanced core technology component provides the image-processing power and speed that enables features such as 4K UHD video acquisition, image stabilization, slow and fast motion recording and precise Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder features Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Canon's exclusively developed high-speed, high-precision autofocus technology. Dual Pixel CMOS AF assists not only with standard shooting, but also with 4K UHD 30p, Full HD 60p and other high-frame rate applications that require crisp frame-by-frame accuracy.
The VIXIA HF G60 camcorder's 3.0-inch touch panel LCD enables smooth, intuitive operation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
The Face Detection AF feature has two modes - Face Priority AF and Face Only AF - that offer users precise flexibility in how they choose their autofocus for a subject or scene.
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder can record to dual SD card slots in 4K UHD and Full HD resolutions using the MP4 recording format.
Dual SD Card Slots
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder features dual SD card slots to allow for Simultaneous or Relay Recording in the MP4 format. Simultaneous recording allows you to record on both SD cards at the same time, so that you can use one as a backup.
Relay recording allows uninterrupted recording from one card to the other when the first memory card becomes full.
HDMI 2.0 Terminal
An HDMI 2.0 terminal supports 4K UHD 60p output, which can be connected to a standard external SSD/HDD recorder, enabling conversion to ProRes and DNx formats for efficient editing and storage.
Slow and Fast Motion Recording
The VIXIA HF G60 Camcorder supports slow and fast motion recording, and can record in a different frame rate from playback for slow and fast motion effects. Slow motion recording of up to 60 fps (x0.4) in Full HD (30 fps in 4K UHD) is supported, helping to create an emotionally moving and exciting style of video.

Overview
Canon’s new Wireless File Transmitter WFT-R10A — which also serves as a vertical battery grip — makes wired and wireless data transfer setups simple and easy. Designed specifically with the new EOS R5 camera, the WFT-R10A supports IEEE 802.11ac 2X2 MIMO/ac/a/n/g/bfor fast and secure connections, helping you to quickly and effortlessly transfer JPEG, RAW and HDR PQ HEIF files. By using the FTP transfer, as a studio photographer you can check the image you shot on a larger display, or deliver an image file to a remote editor — even from a faraway distance. With expanded versatility and an enhanced user interface, the WFT-R10A not only boasts incredible speed, but also streamlines wireless photography configurations, whether in the studio or on location.Pro-level performance for transfer of large data files with high-speed communication is possible through use of supported standards of IEEE 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO over 5Ghz, and 802.11n 2x2 MIMO over 2.4Ghz frequencies. 2x2 MIMO Technology (Multi-Input Multi Output) uses dual antennas to transfer two streamsof data to a receiving device enabling theoretical transfer speeds of up to 867 Mbps with 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO and supporting substantially longer distance transmission compared to EOS R5's built-in Wireless support. Other supported standards include 802.11b/g/n over 2.4Ghz frequency and 802.11 ac/a/n over 5GHZ for further versatility in connection. All of this communication capability is integrated in to a easy to use and ergonomic grip.
The WFT-R10A holds two battery packs* of LP-E6NH, LP-E6N or LP-E6 battery, and also serves as a vertical battery grip. The ergonomic grip allows you to operate the multi-controller for easy AF operation, and is designed for vertical shooting – making portrait photography even easier. The WFT-R10A has adust proof and moisture-proof design, which matches that of the EOS R5 camera.
The Wireless File Transmitter WFT-R10A offers a number of convenient ways to transfer images based on the available equipment and the task at hand. Image transfer directly from the camera to local or offsite servers is facilitated via easily configurable FTP transfer. When the WFT-R10A is attached, SFTP can be used, and FTP mode is further enhanced.
With Canon's refined EOS Utility software installed on a PC, full-featured Live View remote shooting and image transfer are made simple. The Network Setting Tool assists with wire service shooters in creating, editing and deleting network settings on a larger screen. This tool also helps with the ability to export and import communication setting files (NIF*), setup LAN settings, and even check access to FTP servers and create folders.
The Wireless File Transmitter WFT-R10A provides a fast throughput for image uploading and user interface to help enable speedy set-up and configuration of wireless networks.
Connect up to ten receiver cameras (EOS R5+WFT-R10A) to one EOS R5+WFT-R10A via wireless LAN or sync the time of the receiver cameras (EOS R5+WFT-R10A) with the time of the sender camera. While at your computer, images taken with multiple cameras can be displayed and managed in chronological order.
The Wireless File Transmitter WFT-R10A makes it ideal to take along for just about any activity due to its design. Built to withstand inclement weather, this transmitter has the same dustproof and water-resistant construction used in the EOS R5 camera body. A durable design helps ensure that equipment can be safely used in various conditions, making the WFT-R10A an ideal accessory for demanding photographers constantly on the move.

Ikelite SKU: 71706 | Helix SKU: 71706
A full featured and durable waterproof housing for Canon EOS 6D DSLR cameras. Suitable for scuba, snorkel, surf, pool, and any application in or around the water.
This housing requires the addition of a compatible DL Lens Port for waterproof operation. Lens Port not included.
Lens Ports
This housing features our robust new Dry Lock (DL) port system. "Dry Lock" refers to the placement of the o-ring on the outside of the port mount. This improves visibility and reduces the chances of water dropping onto your precious camera sensor. DL ports are the lightest on the market, yet robust and capable of standing up to rough surf. Attachment is quick and secure. A system of extensions can accommodate a huge variety of lenses with ease.
Most popular zoom lenses and select lens focus rings can be engaged using a simple yet effective gearing system that puts adjustment right at your fingertips. A large, soft-touch lobed knob on the side of the housing makes fine tuned adjustments a breeze. Zoom and focus gears differ depending on which lens you are using. All are lightweight and affordable. Refer to the DL System Port Chart to choose the correct gear. Zoom gears sold separately.
Legacy Four Lock Port Compatibility
Due to differences in mount diameter and zoom engagement, DL and FL system ports cannot be used interchangeably. The DL port mount may be removed using a T15 Torx bit and replaced with old style Port Locks for FL Port System (Set of 4) # 5509.04 for legacy users with standard or modular ports from our Four Lock system. This modification will prevent the use of newer DL ports. Re-installation of the DL port base will require the housing to be returned to Ikelite or an Authorized Dealer and may incur additional service charges. The housing cannot be converted back and forth repeatedly. There are significant advantages to upgrading your lens ports which you can read about here. If you're shooting an 8" diameter dome, you'll also save almost 2 pounds by switching to the DL version.
Vacuum System
The included vacuum valve allows you to pressurize the housing to check for leaks prior to putting your expensive equipment in the water. Use of the vacuum valve requires a compatible Vacuum Pump with Gauge # 47011, sold separately.
There is no greater assurance than being able to see your camera and o-ring seal through the back of the housing. Our signature open-groove design suspends the rear o-ring in a natural position that is easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the o-ring into a channel. Once the housing is closed you can see the o-ring form a solid, waterproof seal.
TTL Exposure
This housings supports your choice of shooting manual strobes or adding TTL electronics depending on your application. Our new modular electronics system allows the housing to be updated with future strobe communications products as they become available. The flash bulkhead has been moved to the top of the case for improved cord routing and reduced strain. Reliable locking connectors between the hotshoe and bulkhead make it easy to install the optional TTL electronics or carry back up parts when traveling to remote locations.
You can enjoy the fastest and most accurate TTL exposure on the market by adding the CT1K Canon TTL Kit # 46070 and a compatible Ikelite DS strobe. Exposure compensation can be used added or subtracted in the camera.
Controls and Set-Up
Shutter and AF-ON levers stand out with super sensitive and natural feeling curved levers. Both controls can be extended using the optional Shutter Trigger Extension # 4077.93 for more comfortable use when using a right-hand quick release handle.
All push button controls are machined and hard anodized aluminum to reduce weight and resist salt build-up. The back of the housing is laser engraved with control symbols which will never fade or fall off.
The camera mount is front-loading for easy installation and removal. A small mounting plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and secures in the front of the housing. The camera mounting plate does not need to be removed from the camera for surface use or when changing the battery or memory cards. The mounting plate features a 1/4-20 threaded mount on the bottom so that it can be attached to a tripod on the surface.
Viewfinders
The included Super-Eye Viewfinder provides an enhanced view of the camera's optical viewfinder when viewed through a dive mask. The viewfinder removes quickly and easily for the attachment of an optional Straight Magnified Viewfinder # 6890 or 45° Magnified Viewfinder (Type 2) # 6891.2. The angle of a 45º viewfinder is more ergonomic when shooting underwater plus it provides a larger and brighter view than the standard Super-Eye.
Handling & Travel
The housing, tray, and handles have been optimized to reduce weight while maintaining strength and durability. The Right-Hand Quick Release Handle # 4077.02 (sold separately) can be added or removed depending on your needs. The precision machined aluminum base features 1/4-20 tripod mounting sockets and additional mounting locations for future accessories. The base and handle can be quickly removed when breaking down your system for travel.
A 1/4-20 threaded mounting point is located front and center on the housing above the lens port mount. This mount can be used to attach lightweight accessories like a focus light or GoPro camera.
If you're shooting with two strobe or lighting arms, then a top handle can be added to carry to and from the dive site. Top handles are available in a Cable Grip # 4080.07 or Aluminum Top Handle # 4080.08. The rigid aluminum version provides additional mounting points for lighting and accessories.
Construction
Our new ABS-PC blend front is stronger than its clear counterpart, provides improved contrast and visibility, and keeps your camera running cooler in the sun.
Every housing is made in the USA, individually inspected for fit, and water pressure tested to 200 feet (60m).
Non-Ikelite Strobes
SEA&SEA, INON, and Retra strobes with an electrical connection can be triggered in manual exposure modes using an electrical sync cord. Strobes without an electrical sync cord connection cannot be attached to this system unless slaved off of a hard-wired strobe.
Ikelite Non-Digital Strobes
Older non-digital strobes featuring an ICS-5 electrical sync cord bulkhead can be used with this system in manual exposure modes.
Fiber Optic
Fiber optic only strobes are not compatible with this installation. An external strobe must be connected by electrical sync cord.
Remote Triggering
Strobes with remote slave capabilities may be triggered off of a flash attached to the housing by electrical sync cord. Ikelite DS strobes support remote triggering using the Optical Slave Converter # 4403 or the Water Wizard system (manufactured and sold by Aquatica).
Compatibility
This housing is only compatible with Canon EOS 6D camera as shipped by the manufacturer. Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
Differences in lens and control placement prevent other DSLR models, including the newer EOS 6D Mark II, from being used in this housing. We are not aware of any other models which may be used in or adapted to this particular housing.
