Sony SKU: SEL70200G | Helix SKU: SYSEL70200G
State-of-the-art optics in a compact, lightweight lens with constant F4 maximum aperture offer the appealing, expressive image quality that the G Lens lineup is famous for. G Lenses are manufactured to exacting tolerances and individually tested to ensure that each and every unit meets the same high standards of image quality and creative control.
Precision AA (advanced aspherical) elements, super ED glass, and the Nano AR coating work together in an advanced optical design to deliver high resolution throughout the entire image at all focal lengths. A nine-blade circular aperture extends the lens’s expressive capabilities by contributing to gorgeous background bokeh with natural highlights.
This compact, lightweight full-frame E-mount zoom lens maximizes mobility as well as balance with α7 series bodies. Internal focusing is an advantage too, maintaining constant lens length for better all-around handling. All controls, including focus hold and focus range limiter switches, have been designed for intuitive operation so the user can concentrate on the image.2
Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization compensates for camera shake that can blur images when shooting handheld. Sharp, clear telephoto shots are easier to achieve, and indoor shots in dim lighting can be captured without the need to boost ISO sensitivity and risk increased noise.
The first image stabilization mode switch in an α lens provides a “panning mode” that allows Optical SteadyShot image stabilization to remain active while panning. This makes it possible to capture dynamic horizontally panned shots while effectively minimizing shake induced blur in other axes.
A constant F4 aperture across the entire 70–200 mm range means you can zoom and reframe as necessary without having to think about changing exposure settings.
Focusing is fast and precise thanks to dual linear motors. The quiet and fluid movement is perfect for shooting movies and fast-paced action, or whenever changing focus quickly and often. The use of an internal focusing group, rather than a moving front lens element, makes for a compact design that works well with accessories like lens hoods and polarizing filters.
This lens coating has been designed to accurately transmit light while reducing the negative effects of glare, reflection, and ghosting. This creates shots with enhanced contrast, clarity, and overall image quality.
The unique nine-blade circular design lets the aperture remain almost perfectly circular even when stopped down by two stops. This makes it possible to achieve smoother, more natural defocusing in your images — including artistic blurring or 'bokeh' — and greater control over the depth of field.
Reliable operation in a variety of conditions is ensured by a design that prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens.

On an APS-C the telephoto end of the range provides a 450 mm equivalent focal length for serious super-telephoto photography.
Four aspherical elements and two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements work with Sony’s Nano AR Coating to ensure that all forms of optical aberration are effectively suppressed for superb corner-to-corner resolution. The same design also contributes to the beautiful background bokeh that is an important part of G Lens appeal.
With a minimum focus distance of just 0.9-meter and maximum magnification of 0.31x, this versatile zoom lens lets you get extra close to capture new details and perspectives that can add immeasurably to your creative capabilities. In one lens you have high-performance medium to super telephoto zoom as well as telephoto macro capability.
Built in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization minimizes the effects of camera shake when shooting handheld, making it easier to capture crisp, clear images that realize the lens’s full potential. Optical SteadyShot is effective at all focal lengths, and significantly increases your opportunities for great shots even in low-light conditions.
A sealed dust and moisture-resistant design provides extra protection and ensures reliable operation in challenging environments. Shoot with confidence in light rain or windy conditions.** Although the design is dust and moisture-resistant, absolute protection from dust and moisture is not guaranteed.
The advanced actuator maximizes autofocus speed and precision with the widest possible range of subjects and shooting situations. Focus operation is smooth and quiet too, making it an advantage for movies as well as stills.

A new dimension of portrait performance
The most advanced technology available has been applied in the G Master series, further enhancing acclaimed Sony G Lens performance. This model combines refined G Lens bokeh with new levels of resolution in a truly outstanding portrait lens that can fully utilize the performance potential of current and future high-resolution camera bodies.
Extraordinary resolution and bokeh
Outstanding resolution even at the maximum F1.4 aperture renders the subject with impressive dimensionality. Then gradual, gorgeous bokeh dissolves the background into an artistic backdrop with natural coloration and highlights. This rare combination, due in part to new XA element technology, opens up new vistas of visual expression.
Natural images with no spurious color
Chromatic aberration can degrade resolution as well as bokeh quality. Three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements make a significant contribution to this lens’s outstanding optical performance, keeping axial chromatic aberration in check while maximizing both clarity and the natural look and color of its breathtaking bokeh.
Sublime 2-sensor autofocus accuracy
In addition to the usual rotation sensor, a second sensor detects focus lens group position. This dual sensor system achieves the extremely high level of focus precision that is necessary to make the most of the high-resolution potential of advanced camera bodies. SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive provides the required power and speed.
11 blades for luscious bokeh
Sony’s circular aperture design usually employs up to 9 blades. This is the first α lens to incorporate 11 blades in a circular aperture design, taking bokeh quality to new levels of smooth beauty with natural looking highlights.
Outstanding clarity and contrast
Advanced Nano AR Coating technology produces a lens coating with a precisely defined regular nano-structure that effectively suppresses reflections that can cause flare and ghosting, for notable improvements in clarity, contrast, and overall image quality. (1. Nano AR Coating / 2. Glass / 3. Transmitted light)
Versatile fingertip focus control
The ability to respond quickly to rapidly changing shooting situations can mean the difference between getting the shot or not. A manual/autofocus mode switch and focus hold button are positioned for easy access, providing versatile, professional control for a wide range of subjects and environments.
Easy de-click for movies
While still shooters usually prefer the tactile feedback provided by click stops on the aperture ring, moviemakers favor smooth, quiet, click-free aperture operation. The click stops on this lens’s aperture ring can be easily turned on or off to suit still or movie shooting applications.
Hood lock and release
A hood lock mechanism prevents accidental hood detachment when moving from location to location, but a hood release button makes it easy to remove and replace the hood whenever necessary.
High reliability in harsh conditions
In addition to the normal dust and moisture sealing measures, a seal has been added at the lens-body interface for even further protection and reliability in challenging environments. Shoot with confidence in light rain or windy conditions

Beautiful background bokeh is synonymous with the G Lens name, and it can really make the subject stand out. Individual calibration of each lens ensures optimum compensation for spherical aberration, resulting in smooth rendering of edges without a trace of ugly "nisen bokeh." A nine-blade circular aperture also contributes to great looking bokeh.
Macro lenses are often used over a wide range of focusing distances, so a floating focus mechanism has been implemented for optimum suppression of close-focus aberration. The floating system reduces the size of the lens while maintaining outstanding clarity throughout the image area, from infinity to the closest focusing distance.
Two focus groups in a floating focus configuration are driven by an innovative DDSSM (Direct Drive Super Sonic wave Motor) system for smooth, precise positioning of the relatively heavy lenses that make full frame macro magnification possible. This system is remarkably quiet, and is ideal for animal or insect photography as well as movies.
Although a tripod is usually considered necessary for sharp macro photography, built-in OSS (Optical SteadyShot) image stabilization makes it possible to shoot sharp macro images handheld. The heavy stabilization lens is driven by a responsive linear motor for fast, precise stabilization.
If you have to remove your eye from the viewfinder to switch between auto and manual focus, you’re likely to lose the shot. With this lens the focus ring, where your hand normally rests while shooting, simply slides back and forth to switch between manual and auto focus. A non-slip surface ensures reliable operation.
Pressing the focus hold button, conveniently located on the lens barrel, instantly locks focus at the current setting and keeps it there until the button is released. The focus hold button can be used to lock focus even when shooting in the continuous AF mode.
The Focus Range Limiter selector can be set for near and/or far focusing, depending on the subject, limiting focusing range and thereby maximizing autofocus speed. Selections are ∞ ~ 0.5 meters for distant focusing, 0.5 ~ 0.28 meters for close focusing, and FULL for full-range focusing.
In an inner-focus design, only internal lens elements move when focusing, so the total length of the lens does not change. In addition to making handing easier, that means faster autofocus and shorter minimum focusing distance. The filter thread at the front of the lens does not rotate, which is an advantage when using a polarizing filter.
The medium telephoto focal length of this lens gives it an ideal working distance at macro magnifications, making it easier to capture impressive macro images of insects and other subjects that cannot be approached too closely.
In some ways, lens requirements for movie-making are more demanding than for stills. Sony goes the extra mile to ensure that lenses that will be used with movie-capable cameras will deliver the necessary performance. Minimal focus breathing and quiet operation, for example, are essential for movie shooting.
Reliable operation in a variety of conditions is ensured by a design that prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens.

Tamron SKU: AFA057S-700 | Helix SKU: TRAFA057S700
Considering its pairing with mirrorless cameras, TAMRON pursued a compact size that allows handheld shooting while developing the 150-500mm F5-6.7. With a length of 209.6mm (8.3 in) and maximum diameter of 93mm, the 150-500mm F5-6.7 is astonishingly compact for a 500mm-class ultra-telephoto zoom lens built for use on full-frame mirrorless cameras. Even when extended to the 500mm telephoto end, the lens has a suppressed length of around 283mm (11.1 in). Another distinctive feature is that the arc of rotation of the zoom ring is small—only 75°—which enables swift adjustment to the desired focal length with minimal movement.
In addition to covering a broad range of focal lengths, the 150-500mm F5-6.7 zoom has high resolving power with excellent image-rendering performance across the entire zoom range. The optical construction features 25 elements in 16 groups. The effective placement of special lens elements—including XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), LD (Low Dispersion) and hybrid aspherical lens elements—enables the 150-500mm F5-6.7 to produce clear images while controlling chromatic aberrations. BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) Coating is used to suppress ghosting and flare, which commonly occur under backlit conditions. These features allow the lens to produce finely detailed images of a wide variety of subjects including wild animals, birds, nature and sports, while producing soft and beautiful bokeh effects.
The 150-500mm F5-6.7 zoom’s AF drive system is equipped with the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism. VXD delivers extreme high-speed and high-precision movement and ensures exceptionally responsive performance. Even when shooting at the ultra-telephoto end with a focal length of 500mm, the 150-500mm F5-6.7 enables comfortable, stress-free focusing at all shooting distances from near to far. Focus tracking performance is also very high, facilitating shooting of fast-moving subjects, such as when photographing wild birds, sports, vehicles and wildlife in general. The linear motor also suppresses drive noise and vibrations during focusing, making it ideal for shooting both still photos and video in environments that demand quietness.
When shooting in the ultra-telephoto range, even the smallest vibrations can lead to loss of image clarity. The 150-500mm F5-6.7 is equipped with VC (Vibration Compensation) functionality to support sharp images despite unavoidable camera shake. VC delivers powerful support for handheld shooting of scenes with low light levels, such as evening scenes and indoor shots, without the use of a tripod. The lens also features a VC mode selection switch with three modes including a dedicated panning mode (Mode 1: Standard, Mode 2: Exclusively for Panning, and Mode 3: Framing priority), thereby enabling selection of the ideal VC mode to match shooting conditions and preferences.
VC MODE 3 prioritizes framing and helps you to frame fast-moving subjects easily. In mode 3, VC stabilization is effective from the time the camera power is turned on.
The 150-500mm F5-6.7 zoom lets users freely enjoy telephoto macro shooting of subjects at closeup distances. The lens has an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.6m (23.6 in) at the 150mm wide-angle end, and 1.8m (70.9 in) at the 500mm telephoto end. More remarkably, the maximum magnification ratio at the 150mm end is 1:3.1, offering excellent close-up shooting capabilities for an ultra-telephoto zoom lens. The versatile performance of the 150-500mm F5-6.7 enables shooting of a diverse range of scenes from plants and insects to closeup tabletop photos. It also allows users to shoot very dramatic images because it gives the illusion that the distance between objects is less than in real life. Secondarily, it’s also possible to get interesting head-and-shoulder portraits because of this compression effect.
In the development and design of the 150-500mm F5-6.7 zoom, TAMRON emphasized usability so that users can fully immerse themselves in the world of ultra-telephoto zoom lenses without minor annoyances.

Large aperture F/2.8 ultra wide-angle zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless
Step out of the normal lens zone and into the wilds of wide-angle. The 17-28mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A046) is a large aperture ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount that was designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras and provides unrivalled portability and superb image quality. It’s the smallest and lightest weight zoom lens in its class. The dramatic 17-28mm zoom range adds new dimensions to photographing landscapes, cityscapes, mountains and scenic vistas—as well as groups and building interiors. Despite its compact size, it offers outstanding optical performance. Strategically deployed LD (Low Dispersion) and XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens elements thoroughly suppress chromatic aberration. The combination of ultra wide-angle focal length and an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.19m (7.5 in) at the wide-angle end encourages richly expressive and creative photography. The new 17-28mm zoom’s AF drive system is powered by the RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit that enables it to deliver high-speed, high-precision operation. In addition, the new zoom lens features Moisture-Resistant Construction and a hydrophobic Fluorine Coating that repels fingerprints and dirt. This compact but powerful tool will boost your mobility and drive your vision of capturing subjects in new ways.
Tamron makes large aperture ultra wide-angle photography more exciting, and for this lens we focused on usability. The 17-28mm zoom range was carefully selected; that paved the way for a surprisingly small size—just 99mm (3.9 in) long, weighing but 420g (14.8 oz). The overall length of the lens does not change during zooming, thereby offering consistent handling and stable shooting operations. In addition, the Φ67mm filter size is small for a large aperture ultra wide-angle zoom lens. Plus, it shares the same filter diameter as the high-speed standard zoom lens in the series, the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036). This means the same filters such as PL (Polarizer), lens caps and other accessories may be used for both models.
The 17-28mm zoom provides magnificent image quality without compromise despite its compactness. Two LD lens elements and one XLD element (which has properties close to fluorite) are precisely located to quash chromatic and other aberrations. In addition, the BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating applied to lens surfaces reduces ghosting and flare that are otherwise likely to occur when shooting against the sunset’s glow and other backlit situations. Leveraging camera functions*, it provides excellent optical performance matching the latest high resolution image sensors from edge-to-edge throughout the entire zoom range. The 17-28mm zoom invites you into the breathtaking world of ultra wide-angle photography.
* When shooting with the camera’s lens correction function enabled.
The 17-28mm zoom features an MOD of 0.19m (7.5 in) at the wide 17mm end, rendering a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.2. At the tele end, the MOD is 0.26m (10.2 in) and the maximum magnification ratio is 1:6. In short, you can easily get close enough for a powerful shot. Your images can emphasize the perspective unique to ultra wide-angle lenses, and you can produce soft expressions with a shallow depth of field distinctive to large aperture lenses by opening the aperture and getting close to the subject. Versatile, functional and sensational—all at the same time.
The AF drive on the 17-28mm zoom includes an RXD motor unit to help you stay focused on the action. RXD uses an actuator to precisely control the rotational angle of the motor, allowing it to directly drive the focusing lens without passing through a reduction gear. A sensor that accurately detects the position of the lens enables high-speed and precise AF, which is ideal when shooting continually moving subjects or recording video. Perfect for street shooting and grab shots of groups of friends. And with a focusing system that is both smooth and quiet, the new 17-28mm zoom lets you shoot a video without worrying about picking up ambient drive sounds.

One of the key features that makes this lens so exciting is its amazing ability to shoot close-ups. With this lens, you can get closer to an object than you’d ever imagined. At the 0.12m (4.7 in) MOD, the lens achieves its maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. You’ll never again be frustrated because you cannot get close to an object while shooting. This remarkable performance allows users to create compositions that exploit dramatic perspective (closer subjects are larger, and distant ones are smaller) and that are unique to wide-angle lenses. By getting close to an object, you can produce a one-of-a-kind photo and leverage the beautifully blurred background bokeh.
Take it with you anywhere. This lens travels as well as it performs. And because it’s matched to lightweight full-frame mirrorless cameras, your entire system becomes light, fast and nimble. It has a very compact body, weighing just 215g (7.6 oz) and an overall length of 64mm (2.5 in). It’s comfortably portable, highly maneuverable and amazingly easy to use and compose. Because the overall length does not change when focusing, you can get as close to an object as you need to without fear of accidentally bumping the front element. The lens has the same 67mm filter diameter as the other members of the series of Tamron high-speed lenses for Sony E-mount cameras. So you can swap filters (like polarizers), lens caps and other accessories for convenience. Who says great things can’t come in small packages?

With the goal of producing outstanding high image quality befitting a new fast-aperture zoom lens, TAMRON redesigned the optical design in the new 28-75mm F2.8 G2 from scratch. The optical construction of the Model A063 deploys 17 elements in 15 groups. To minimize optical aberrations to an extreme degree, two LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements are used in an optimal arrangement. The lens demonstrates high resolving power to the edges of the frame at all focal lengths, while also offering the soft and beautiful bokeh that is distinctive to fast-aperture lenses. The image quality shows marked improvements over the 1st-generation Model A036. The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 retains the same light weight and compact size while achieving significant improvements to resolution and overall performance across the entire zoom range. The new standard zoom is ideal for a wide range of photographic genres from street photography and portraiture to landscapes and general family events like vacations and holidays.
The AF drive system is equipped with VXD linear motor focus mechanism. VXD is exceptionally responsive and operates at high speed with great precision. The AF speed marks approximately twice1 as fast as the 1st-generation Model A036. With reliable, speedy focusing from the MOD to infinity and extremely good focus tracking, you are ready for those important moments even when photographing fast-moving subjects. Moreover, the AF drive motor is very quiet, making it ideal for still photography and videography when shooting in conditions where near-silence is required.
1 Compared to RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) used in Model A036
Close focusing has also been improved. The MOD of the 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is 0.18m (7.1 in) at the wide 28mm end, an improvement over the 1st-generation Model A036. This allows photographers to capture powerful shots that emphasize the perspective effects unique to wide-angle photography when shooting close-ups. The working distance becomes about 4.4cm (1.7 in) at the MOD. The maximum magnification ratio is 1:2.7. Get closer to any subject and enjoy the world of wide macro photography. In addition, at the telephoto end the MOD is 0.38m (15 in). The magnification ratio when using the longer 75mm focal length is 1:4.1, enabling close-up shooting with greater working distance.
The 2nd-generation Model A063 incorporates the new ‘TAMRON Lens Utility’ software originally and uniquely developed by TAMRON. TAMRON Lens Utility can be operated using a computer by connecting the lens from its Connector Port via the optional TAMRON Connection Cable2. Users can customize the functions and update the firmware through the lens. The personal customization gives flexible shooting options to match the shooting situation such as still photography or videography.

Versatile zoom range and breathtaking image quality
The world's first1 F2 all-in-one full-frame mirrorless travel zoom lens
From expansive scenery to magnificent cityscapes—you can capture it all. We created a fast-aperture zoom lens ideal for the creation of art while traveling to take photos. The 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058) is a high resolution travel zoom lens that covers everything from the 35mm wide angle to the 150mm telephoto focal length, the first zoom lens achieving an aperture of F2 at the wide angle in a Sony full-frame mirrorless lens. This versatile all-in-one zoom enables photography of beautiful natural scenery, urban landscapes, impressive buildings, restaurant interiors, city night views and more while traveling, without having to change lenses—or changing your distance from the subject when composing. It has a groundbreaking fast-aperture and utilizes the linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), thereby achieving high speed, high precision autofocusing. The innovative lens design enabled us to greatly improve the lens's grip and functionality and includes a Connector Port on the lens barrel. The port enables users to apply the TAMRON Lens Utility™, developed in-house, to easily customize functions and to update firmware. The 35-150mm F2-2.8 allows photographers to shoot at the common focal lengths frequently used when creating art while traveling, from the wide angle to normal, semi-telephoto, and telephoto—and anything in between. This empowers you to clearly capture the scenes as you envision them with its overwhelming resolving power and amazing flexibility. If you're looking to get your hands on the powerful 35-150mm A058, head to one of our authorized Tamron dealers today!
The 35-150mm F2-2.8 features an optimal combination of four LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements that subdue aberrations, and three extraordinary GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements. Together they assure high optical performance that enhances your ability to capture all the incredible scenery you encounter while traveling. TAMRON has achieved a maximum aperture of F2 at the wide-angle end and F2.8 at the telephoto end, enabling you to achieve beautiful, soft bokeh across the entire zoom range. The lens also makes it possible to capture subjects clearly in more situations. The lens's fast maximum aperture helps you control camera movement by permitting a higher shutter speed, or when trying to reduce noise by choosing a low ISO. Even when used with the latest mirrorless cameras that require high resolution performance, images are sharp edge-to-edge and from center to every corner, across the entire frame of the photo.
This zoom lens covers everything from the 35mm wide angle to 150mm telephoto, including all the commonly used focal lengths, so it’s very handy for travel because it can replace several single lenses. Seamlessly take photos without switching lenses in various situations. Change to an 85mm semi-telephoto angle of view, focus on a faraway subject at 150mm, and make full use of the 35mm and 50mm focal lengths. Change composition without changing your distance from the subject. You can use just this one lens to capture a wide range of photos while traveling, from landscapes to snapshots and portraits. Our design goal was portability and compact design while achieving a spectacular specification of F2-2.8 with a 4.3x zoom ratio.
The autofocus drive employs the VXD linear motor focus mechanism. You can easily achieve focus from the MOD (Minimum Object Distance) to infinity, even at the maximum F2 aperture, thanks to the speed and precision of this highly accurate autofocus system. Focus tracking is also extremely precise so you can capture sudden movements by your subject. The linear motor also suppresses drive noise and vibrations during focusing, making it ideal for shooting both still photos and video in environments that demand quietness.
The Model A058 incorporates the new ‘TAMRON Lens Utility’ software originally and uniquely developed by TAMRON.
2 TAMRON Connection Cable (USB Type A to Type C) sold separately.
The new 35-150mm F2-2.8 boasts the ability to take closeup photographs extremely close to the subject. At the 35mm wide-angle end, the MOD is 0.33m (13 in), achieving a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.7. To further accentuate the subject and separate it visually from its surroundings you can create a greatly blurred background using the large F2-2.8 maximum aperture. You can also take unique and impressive photos, including overhead shots of food and close-ups of parts of small objects, flowers, or other subject details.
The Model A058 incorporates a new design that becomes the hallmark of TAMRON lenses introduced in the future. In constant pursuit of improving products in every way possible, TAMRON considered customer feedback and reviewed each part and component of the lens down to the finest details. As a result, TAMRON has enhanced both the operation and tactile presentation of the lens.

In addition to the F/2.8 aperture, the Model F053 is constructed using special glass materials including LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements effectively arranged to quash aberrations. The Model F053 provides outstanding optical performance across the entire frame, and delivers a sharp image, right down to the texture of the subject. With Moisture-Resistant Construction and dirt-resistant Fluorine Coating, photographers can shoot confidently outdoors. You will discover beauty that you have never experienced before. This lens may lead you to new discoveries.
One of the key features that makes this lens so exciting is its amazing ability to shoot close-ups. With this lens, you can get closer to an object than you’d ever imagined. At the 0.15m (5.9 in) MOD (Minimum Object Distance), the lens achieves its maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.

The 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD (Model A047) for Sony full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras is a telephoto zoom lens designed and created so photographers of all skill levels can enjoy high quality images comfortably. Tamron’s new 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 covers a broad telephoto zoom range yet is the world's smallest size and lightest weight, coming in at 148mm (5.8 in) long with a maximum diameter of 77mm, and weighing just 545g (19.2 oz). With special emphasis on resolving power, Tamron has deployed special lens elements appropriately arranged to correct chromatic aberration, generally very strong in a telephoto lens, as well as other aberrations. Users can enjoy high-resolution images combined with the stunning bokeh qualities that are achievable only with a telephoto lens. The lens also incorporates the RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit, a high-speed precision AF drive system that is remarkably quiet. Tamron's Moisture-Resistant Construction provides extra protection, while various features that are built into Sony mirrorless cameras, including "Eye AF," are supported. The 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 is a versatile lens for photographing landscapes, sports and other action, pets and wildlife and more. The lens also demonstrates its potential for portrait shooting, casual snapshots and scenarios that require you to be mobile and shoot handheld, like sporting events. The apparent image compression and the close-up effects characteristic of telephoto lenses naturally amplify photographic expression. Zooming in on distant objects and making them appear closer is one of the joys of telephoto shooting. This zoom lens provides an entryway into that new world.
To make the 300mm telephoto focal length more fun and accessible, Tamron focused intently on designing a telephoto zoom lens that’s both small and lightweight. Turning the conventional concept of a telephoto lens on its head, the 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 is only 148mm (5.8 in) in length with a maximum diameter of 77mm and a weight of just 545g (19.2 oz). This gives users the freedom to concentrate fully on shooting without worrying about lens size or weight. In addition to those wishing to pursue real telephoto shooting for the first time, the lens is also recommended for people who use cameras that have built-in image stabilization because they can leave the tripod at home. Of special significance, when paired with the APS-C sized E-mount Sony cameras, this zoom adds additional telephoto reach and still remains comfortable to handle. Users can enjoy shooting with even higher power telephoto effects at a maximum equivalent focal length of approximately 450mm 2.
2 For APS-C mirrorless format: 105-450mm equivalent field-of-view
The 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 zoom’s optical design was refined via thorough simulations utilizing the latest technologies. With high priority on reduced size and weight, Tamron selected the aperture of F6.3 for the telephoto end to achieve a slim lens barrel and outstanding lightness. Taking the weight savings even further, we used a specially treated, high-strength aluminum-magnesium alloy3, the first time Tamron has used this material in the mount components of a lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The new design maintains excellent strength while successfully reducing weight to around 68% of previous mounts. The lens is made up of 15 elements in 10 groups with an appropriate arrangement of LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements. Eliminating waste to the extreme degree, Tamron reduced weight while still achieving very high image quality in the 70-300mm F4.5-6.3. Aberrations such as axial chromatic aberration (which tends to occur in telephoto lens designs) have been well corrected. The 300mm end, which receives particularly frequent use in a telephoto zoom, provides excellent high-resolution performance from the center of the image all the way to the corners. Stunning bokeh (intentional background blur qualities) are another remarkable feature of this new lens. Subjects are accentuated against the beautifully soft bokeh effects in the background. To suppress ghosting and flare, the lens uses Tamron's BBAR (Broad-Brand Anti-Reflection) Coating, which is renowned for its anti-reflection performance. In addition, the actuation of the lens correction features built into Sony cameras lets users enjoy enhanced performance and functions.
3 High-strength aluminum-magnesium alloy: An alloy mainly comprised of aluminum with a high magnesium content.
The AF drive on the 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 includes an RXD motor unit to help you stay focused on the action. RXD uses an actuator to precisely control the rotational angle of the motor, allowing it to directly drive the focusing lens without passing through a reduction gear. A sensor that precisely detects the position of the lens enables high-speed and accurate AF, which is ideal when shooting continually moving subjects or recording video. And with a focusing system that is both smooth and quiet, the 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 lets you shoot free from stress not worrying the drive sound in a quiet environment.
Tamron’s new 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 zoom is compatible with many of the advanced features that are specific to mirrorless cameras. This includes:
- Fast Hybrid AF
- Eye AF
- Direct Manual Focus (DMF)
- In-camera lens correction (shading, chromatic aberration, distortion)
- Camera-based lens unit firmware updates

Long focal length, fast autofocus, optical image stabilization. Thanks to the outstanding correction of all chromatic aberrations, the ZEISS Batis 2.8/135 is a high-performance telephoto lens with an Apo Sonnar design. The lens is the optimum solution for medium-distance portrait photography.
The advanced correction of the Apo Sonnar lens design ensures extremely realistic portrayal of your subject. To avoid shaking, an optical image stabilizer has also been integrated in the design. The fast and precise autofocus is your guarantee of sharply defined images - even in difficult light. The shallow depth of field at maximum aperture allows the creative combination of focus and blur, allowing you to direct the viewer's attention to the main subject of your photo.
The ZEISS Batis autofocus lenses were specially developed for mirrorless, full-frame system cameras from Sony. The lenses are fully compatible with all E-mount cameras and offer protection against dust and weather in addition to fast and quiet autofocus. For creative photography, the innovative OLED display shows the distance and depth of field to ensure that the focusing range can always be perfectly set. The result: images that will amaze you. The completely new design of the high-speed ZEISS Batis family offers perfect image quality.
A lens with relatively few glass-air surfaces, it was developed by Dr. Ludwig Bertele at ZEISS in 1930. At the time it was one of the fastest high-speed lenses for 35 mm photography, with apertures as large as 1:1.5 and high contrast thanks to effective stray light reduction. Its high speed and high contrast helped give the lens its name, which is derived from the word “sun,” the symbol of maximum brightness. You continue to find the aforementioned benefits with modern lenses in the normal and telephoto ranges whose optical design is based on this basic type.

The very close focusing distance of the 25 mm wide-angle lens supports the creative implementation of exceptional perspectives. An extremely uniform image quality is ensured right into the corners of the image. The lens is the perfect companion for shooting landscapes, architecture, street scenes and photojournalism.
The ZEISS Batis autofocus lenses were specially developed for mirrorless full-frame system cameras from Sony. The lenses are fully compatible with all E-mount cameras and offer not only fast, quiet autofocus, but also protection against dust and spray water. For creative photography, the innovative OLED display shows the distance and depth of field to ensure that the focusing range can always be perfectly set. The result: images that will amaze you. The completely new design of the high-speed ZEISS Batis family offers perfect image quality.
The design of the autofocus system requires an extremely accurate shifting of particular lens groups. The focusing system of ZEISS lenses is designed to ensure a robust and smooth-running autofocus mechanism with the best imaging performance.
The powerful lens for the mirrorless full-frame system of Sony fulfills the highest requirements. Despite its compact design, the image meets the expectations of professional photographers.
Richly saturated and vivid colours are a must in the creation of lasting impressions. However, stray light within an optical system leads to a lightening of the image that is particularly noticeable in the shadows. This reduces image contrast, with the result that exposures lack contrast and appear faded. To avoid this, ZEISS combines various specially developed technologies to reduce the undesirable effects of stray light.
Thanks to features that are designed to keep out dust and spray water, the lens is perfectly suited for critical outdoor conditions. It is also designed for many years of intensive use.
For the first time, you can accurately read the focus distance and depth of field simply and intuitively on the OLED display on the lens. Especially in poor light conditions – excellent readability is always guaranteed.
Originally developed for SLR cameras requiring a long back focal distance for short focal lengths because of the mirror box (the distance between the back lens element and the film plane must be considerably longer than the focal length), the Distagon lenses (retrofocus design) are also ideal for mirrorless system cameras thanks to their optimized ray path. Even with longer focal lengths, the high-performance Distagon optical design enables consistently good correction all the way to the corners of the image and very low field curvature.

Light, unassuming and reserved. The moderate wide angle and the creative possibilities of manual focus make the ZEISS Loxia 2/35 a perfect storyteller.
The ZEISS Loxia® 2/35 offers an extended field of view. This makes it the first choice for showing a subject in their environment or establishing connections between people. Like in reportage or street photography, for example. That’s what makes it the most important focal length for the genre in compact 35mm cameras. At the same time, the small size and weight of this camera system allows for a great deal of independence and discretion when it comes to photographing your subjects. And precise, manual focus gives you all the creative possibilities you need to tell the story in your own personal way.
ZEISS Loxia lenses were specifically designed for Sony α7 cameras. This means that they can make the most of the mirrorless, full frame system, while giving you all the creative possibilities of ‘classic’ photography with manual focus at the same time.
And that’s not all: ZEISS Loxia lenses also provide everything you need to shoot high quality video, such as the unique DeClick feature for smooth adjustment of the aperture, for example.
One completely new feature of the Loxia lens is that you can ‘declick’ the aperture’s locking mechanism using a tool (supplied) and an adjustment screw on the bayonet surface. This means that for video applications, you can smoothly eliminate any unwanted differences in brightness as you pan the camera. This feature can also be used with other video systems whose size makes them suitable for adaption.
Manually focusing a lens means controlling the image result from your fingertips. A good ergonomic design makes all the difference. ZEISS lenses stand out with their large rotation angle which enables precise focusing. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder. The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly without play, thus also supporting the intuitive interaction with the focal plane. The precise engraving in meter and feet, and the depth of focus scale provide additional support for manually focusing.
Dramatic perspectives and a view from extraordinary image angles – ZEISS lenses open up new composition possibilities. Distortion would disrupt the composition because straight lines, whose image does not go through the image center, would be reproduced with a curved shape. This annoying effect is accordingly and largely compensated through elaborate optical designs at all focal lengths.
Tangible quality that holds its value is what qualifies ZEISS lenses for decades of hard use. A precision-engineered full-metal casing, grippy focus and aperture rings made of metal, and a tough front bayonet and filter screw guarantee stunning photographic results. A special sealing ring on the bayonet also protects the interface between the camera and the lens.
The ZEISS Loxia lenses are suitable for use with the mirrorless Sony Alpha cameras with E-mount and were optimized for sensors up to full 35 mm format (24 x 36 mm). With the ZEISS Loxia lenses, the aperture is controlled manually. This allowed the integration of the so-called DeClick feature of the mechanical aperture ring. The cameras feature the corresponding automatic exposure control (A) and manual exposure control (M).
A lens with such a large field angle that it can capture as much of the photographer's surroundings as possible in a single shot – this is the origin of the name Biogon®. The largely symmetrical Biogon optical design enables the use of very compact, moderate to extremely wide-angle lenses, including with rangefinder and mirrorless system cameras. The lenses feature exceptionally good distortion correction, chromatic properties and image field flattening.

With its exceptional image performance up to a scale of 1:1, this macro lens is the ideal choice for extreme close ups. But it also comes into its own when shooting portraits or panoramas as a light tele-lens.
The delicate structure of a petal, the tiny hairs on a cat’s fur or the seductive lines at the corner of the eyes – whenever a shot is all about the minute details, the ZEISS Touit® 2.8/50M will delight and inspire. It not only allows you to portray objects in their original size, but also provides for beautiful contrast between the pin sharp focus of the image and the softly sketched background thanks to its aperture of 2.8.
The design of the autofocus system demands an extremely precise movement of certain lens elements. As the mass of the elements or groups to be moved within the optical system differs, various motor types may be installed. The focusing system of the Touit lenses is designed to guarantee robust and smooth autofocusing without any need for compromises or limitations in their optical design.
Information: To achieve maximum compatibility on APS-C cameras of the Sony Alpha series with E-Mount (AF in video mode) we highly recommend using the latest Sony firmware.
The ZEISS Touit 2.8/50M lets you capture the smallest things and the tiniest details at their actual size. At its closest focusing distance, subjects sized 15x23 mm fill the frame with an impressive maximum reproduction ratio of 1:1. The imaging performance of the ZEISS Touit 2.8/50M is just as exceptional at such short distances as it is at medium and long distances. Minimum distortion, outstanding correction of chromatic aberrations, minimal image field curvature and excellent correction of coma and astigmatism allow true-to-life reproduction of any subject, particularly in combination with the high resolving power of modern sensors.
The ZEISS Touit lenses are designed and constructed specifically for use on APS-C cameras of the Sony Alpha series with E-Mount and Fujifilm X series. The lenses are therefore fully compatible and support all camera functions, including autofocus.
Today’s camera technologies and high-resolution sensors demand continuous improvement of lens performance. Thanks to the use of the latest floating element design principles, optical aberration effects in ZEISS lenses are reduced to a minimum throughout their entire focusing range. This is achieved by variation of the axial distance between individual lens elements or groups. This adjustment of the lens-to-lens distance is coupled to the distance setting to ensure correct compensation at all times. The mechanical construction of these lenses is extremely complex and they must be assembled with utmost precision – both of which are key competencies of ZEISS.
