Overview
The SmartRig+ DI features three different kinds of inputs, and there are two of each: XLR, 1/4” (6.35mm), and 1/8“ (3.5mm). All of the inputs remain active when in use, and you can use 4 of them at the same time. The XLR inputs can supply condenser microphones with +48 volts of phantom power, which enables you to use almost any kind of microphone. The 1/4” (6.35mm) inputs are impedance-matched to get the best sound quality from guitars and basses. The 1/8“ (3.5mm) inputs can be used to connect 2 mini-plug microphones, which enables you to use microphones like the Saramonic SR-XLM1 clip-on lavalier mic, and the SR-M3 mini shotgun (both sold separately).
A Mono/Stereo switch on the SmartRig+ DI lets you choose how the channels will be mixed when connected to a device. When set to Mono, anything you plug in will be recorded to both channels. The Mono setting is useful when you’re just plugging in a single microphone, because the audio will be recorded to both channels. The Stereo setting is useful when you’re plugging two microphones or instruments, because both channels will be recorded as independent tracks. The Saramonic Magic Boom Pole is a versatile and professional boom pole that allows you to position your microphones as close as possible to the sounds you need to capture while remaining at a distance or out of frame. It features 5 telescoping sections and adjusts from 2.5 to 10 feet in length (0.78 to 3 m). Long enough to discretely boom any scene and compact enough to take anywhere, easily fitting into a backpack or small case. The top mounting screw can be switched between 3/8“ for standard shockmounts and 1/4"-20 for attaching on-camera microphones. Using SmartMic+ UC couldn’t be easier. You simply plug it into your mobile device and start creating. There are no batteries to install or charge, and there are no levels to set. It’s truly plug-and-play. A gold-plated headphone jack on the back enables you to easily listen to your audio without needing to remove the SmartMic+ UC. You can also listen to the sound as you record, but this capability needs to be supported by the app you’re using.
A snug-fitting foam windscreen is included that won’t accidentally fall off when in use or transit. When you need to use SmartMic+ UC in windy environments, a sensibly sized furry windscreen is also included that can be pulled over the foam windscreen for ultimate protection from wind noise. SmartMic+ UC can be positioned both facing forward, when using the selfie camera on your Android device or facing outward, when taking advantage of your device’s high-end camera. It captures audio that is rich and detailed, but the unit itself is ultra-compact, small enough to fit in your pocket and weighs only 40 grams, so you can easily bring it with you everywhere you go. Overview
Smartphones can shoot incredible looking video, but the audio quality they provide is usually a massive disappointment. The Saramonic SmartMixer is a compact mixer and microphone kit that seamlessly integrates with your phone and vastly improves the sound quality of the videos you shoot. The included hand grip and mount improves the stability of your videos as well.
The lightweight and compact SmartMixer runs on a single 9-volt battery and comes with two low-profile condenser microphones that plug into it. These mics can swivel up and down and rotate to point at people and other sound sources. A mini-XLR input on the side with +48 volts phantom power makes it possible to use any professional microphone, such as a shotgun or handheld interview microphone with your smartphone.
An easy-to-use stepped gain knob lets you set perfect levels, and a backlit display enables you to always see your audio meters and remaining battery level even in the darkest or brightest environments. A dedicated switch toggles between recording and playback modes, so you can easily listen to your videos through the SmartMixer’s headphone jack. The versatile smartphone clamp lets you to shoot in either landscape or portrait mode for vertical video and it can be adjusted to fit smartphones up to 3.6” (9.1 cm) wide with a case, which will accommodate even the largest handheld devices. A shoe mount is provided at the top to attach microphones, wireless receivers or lights, and a tripod thread at the base gives you further mounting options.
